A walnut-wood wall sconce that magnetically detaches into a portable handheld light. The lamp body lifts off the wall plate with a gentle pull — use it as a fixed sconce when mounted, or carry it as a wand for late-night hallways, closets, or bedside reading. Battery-powered with USB-C charging and 4-hour runtime. Touch sensor on the wood handle switches between three color temperatures (3000K / 4000K / 6000K) and dims by hold. No wiring, no electrician — mount the plate with screws or adhesive.
⚠ What this lamp is — and what it isn't
Ambient and accent light, not main illumination. The integrated 1W LED produces nightlight-to-low-ambient brightness — bright enough to navigate a dark hallway, find your way to the bathroom, or set evening mood, but not bright enough to read a book by alone.
For reading, pair it with a primary reading lamp. For mood lighting, ambient hallway use, or as a portable emergency light, this is its purpose.
Magnetic detach

USB-C rechargeable

- Screw mount: Hold the wall plate where you want it, mark the two screw points with a pencil, drill pilot holes, install drywall anchors if needed, then screw the plate to the wall. Snap the lamp onto the magnet.
- Adhesive mount: Clean the wall with isopropyl alcohol, peel the backing from the 3M VHB strip on the plate, press firmly for 30 seconds. Wait 2 hours before attaching the lamp.
- Charge for 2.5 hours before first use. Subsequent charges take similar time. Keep charged for emergency-light reliability.
- Indoor dry locations only. Not for bathrooms with direct shower spray or outdoor use.
How long does the battery last and what's the charging time?
~4 hours of runtime at full brightness on a single charge. Dimming extends runtime significantly — at 25% brightness, expect 12+ hours. Charging from empty takes ~2.5 hours via USB-C from any standard USB-A or USB-C port (5V/1A or higher).
Will the adhesive hold over time?
The included 3M VHB adhesive holds 1+ lb of pull weight on clean, smooth surfaces (painted drywall, painted wood, tile). It will not hold on textured wallpaper, rough plaster, or unpainted brick. For long-term peace of mind on a critical mount, use the screw option instead.
Can the battery be replaced when it eventually wears out?
Lithium-ion batteries typically last 500–1000 full charge cycles (~3–5 years of daily use). The battery is not user-replaceable, but we offer a paid battery service after warranty — send the lamp back, we replace the cell and return it. Email info@vakkerlighting.com for details.
Is it bright enough for reading?
No — at 1W (~80 lumens) it's ambient/nightlight level, not task-bright. For comparison: a typical reading lamp is 8–15W LED (~400–800 lumens). Use the Nomad for mood lighting, nightstand accent, hallway navigation, and as a portable backup; pair with a primary reading lamp for reading.
What's the warranty?
1-year warranty on the battery (covers significant capacity loss in normal use); 2-year warranty on the LED, touch sensor, magnetic mount, and finish. Email info@vakkerlighting.com with photos for any warranty claim — replies within one business day.
